HLGGC is not a stereotypical law firm. We do things differently and people love us for it. Our people have spent more than a decade guiding businesses. We’ve worked with manufacturers, software development, service providers, retail, real estate, finance and more. We’ve provided guidance to families contemplating tomorrow all over the state.

HLGGC was founded to answer the following general issues that small businesses have to address when contemplating counsel that large companies don’t have to address.

How much is this going to cost?

Small businesses work on different budget than large businesses and they need to know how much a service is going to cost. Hourly rates work great to answer questions and investigate specific issues, but they do not work for commissioned projects. HLGGC is different. We are committed to providing as much service as possible through flat rates and performance driven fees. When we partner with you, we share in your successes and we suffer from your failures. That’s our definition of a partnership.

How do I know I need help when I don’t even know if I need help?

People have become more and more educated about entity formation, taxation, estate planning, and so on by using websites and periodicals. A new document download service seems to pop up every day that purports to solve your incorporation needs or to create your trust. These sites give great information if you know what you are looking for, but they are not comprehensive and they focus only on specific subject matter. Our expertise and our commitment to your company allow us to learn about your business and where we can find opportunities to improve your position. We will spend the time to learn what you do, how you do it, who you do it with and who does it for you. That’s another way we define a partnership.

Why can’t I just get someone to tell me the right answer?

Attorneys are required to insure that the client makes the final decision on any issue. Attorneys provide recommendations based on their expertise. HLGGC will tell you what problem exists, why that’s a problem, how it can be solved, what each solution involves, what solution is the best and why that solution is the best.

HLGGC was founded in 2007 by Michael Haskins. Michael is a proud husband and father of four amazing kids. Michael received his undergraduate degree from Northern State University in Aberdeen, South Dakota and his law degree from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law. Michael is obsessed with providing down-to-earth service to directly impact the client and down-to-earth fees so that everyone has access.
